Who the hell
are these guys?
I Thought They Were Models? is a six piece comedy rock band out of Boston. Think Frank Zappa, Talking Heads, and the Blues Brothers walked into a Costco and started a band. We write songs about the stuff everyone’s quietly losing their minds over: sports radio, office life, the diet that always starts Monday, and the very real thrill of a warehouse store.
Every show is a little different. There’s improv, crowd interaction, and songs that change with whatever ridiculous thing is in the news that week.
Come for the songs. Stay because your're not sure what's happening.
